EFT for Chronic Pain / Chronic Illness
One-Day Online Workshop | August 16, 2026
About the Workshop
Most of us try to understand our emotions with thinking, but by the time we’re thinking, the body has already reacted. Sensation is the first signal in every experience we have: the tight chest before the word “anxiety,” the warm expansion before the word “joy.” When we learn to notice sensation early, we create a tiny pause between what we feel and how we react - and that pause is where choice lives.
Learning to Feel is an introduction to somatic practice for people who want to feel less overwhelmed, less shut down, and more present with themselves.
We’ll explore how sensation shapes our emotional experience, how resourcing gives the body enough support to stay with what we feel, and how working with breath and the body’s natural release mechanisms can regulate activation and rebuild capacity - so we can meet life without numbing out or spiralling down.
If you’ve been curious about somatics but don’t know where to start, this workshop is for you.

About the Workshop
The workshop integrates 2 somatic practices
Somatic Breathwork
This guided breath practice uses rounds of deep, rhythmic breathing followed by short breath holds. The pattern temporarily activates the nervous system before allowing it to settle again. Moving between activation and relaxation in this structured way helps place the body in an energised, focused, yet relaxed state.
Tension & Trauma Release (TRE)
TRE®️ (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises), founded by Dr. David Berceli, is a structured series of movements designed to activate the body’s natural tremor mechanism — a neurophysiological response that helps discharge excess muscular and nervous system activation. This tremoring response is part of the body’s innate stress regulation system and can be observed across mammals following threat or intense exertion.
TRE is not a replacement for psychotherapy or medical treatment, but it can be a complementary approach that supports overall nervous system resilience and stress recovery.
