Community Sound Circle

A Gathering Space for Graduates of the Sound Therapy Practitioner Training

Welcome to The Community Sound Circle

Completing your training is the beginning of your practice, not the end of your learning. The Community Sound Circle brings graduates of the Soma Haus 30-Hour Sound Therapy Practitioner Training back together.

This is a space to get to know one another across cohorts, ask questions, share what you are discovering in your own practice, and keep building confidence with others on the same path.

The wellness industry can be surprisingly siloed, with practitioners often working alone, learning alone, and sometimes even seeing one another as competition. We hope the training is where the journey ends, but where a community begins.

Our Intentions

The Community Sound Circle offers a warm, supportive space to explore these questions together and to build lasting connections with others walking a similar path. Over time, we hope these relationships grow into a network of practitioners who can:

  • Encourage one another

  • Swap practice sessions

  • Collaborate on group sound baths

  • Support each other’s growth

What to Expect

Open Q&A
We collect questions at sign-up and on the day, then explore them together as a group. Common themes include:

  • Session structure, sequencing and pacing

  • Instrument choice, technique and care

  • Supporting clients who become emotional or overwhelmed

  • Sound sensitivity, contraindications and when to refer

  • Building and growing your practice

Practice & Peer Feedback
Working in small groups, participants take turns facilitating, receiving and observing. Each circle focuses on one skill, such as pacing, transitions, or opening and closing a session.

Sharing from Practice
Participants share reflections and experiences from their own sessions: what’s working, what surprised them, and what they’d do differently. All client details are kept anonymous and confidential.

What to Bring

  • Your own singing bowl(s) or instruments, if you have them (bowls can be provided if not)

  • One question or challenge from your practice

  • An open, curious mind

Who Is This For?

This circle is open to graduates of the Soma Haus Sound Therapy Practitioner Training. Whether you are already facilitating sessions or still building confidence through self-practice, you’re welcome here.

FAQs

Who can attend the Community Sound Circle?

The circle is open to graduates of the Soma Haus 30-Hour Sound Therapy Practitioner Training, from any cohort. Whether you facilitate sessions regularly, are still building confidence through self-practice, or simply miss the people and the practice, you are welcome here.

Do I need to be practising professionally to attend?

No. Some graduates use sound therapy mainly for self-care, some are working towards their practice hours, and some already work with clients. Every stage of the journey is welcome, and we learn a lot from one another's different paths.

I've lost touch with my practice. Can I still come?

Absolutely. Many people come back simply to reconnect, with the practice and with each other. There's no expectation to be "on track." Just come as you are.

Do I have to share about my own practice?

Only if you'd like to. Sharing is always optional, and listening is a valuable way to take part too. When stories from practice are shared, all client details are kept anonymous and confidential.

Is this supervision or further certification?

No. The Community Sound Circle is a peer practice and learning space. It does not replace one-to-one mentoring or supervision, and it does not offer additional certification.

Does attending count towards my recommended 100 contact hours?

Yes. Each circle counts as 2 hours of practice and mentoring, which can be part of your recommended 100 contact hours.

Do I need to bring my own singing bowls?

It helps if you have them, but it's not required. Bowls and other instruments can be provided for practice during the circle. If the facilitator has invited you to lead the opening grounding, we'll ask you to bring your own bowls for this.

How often are circles held?

Circles are held every two months. Upcoming dates are listed on our Classes & Workshops schedule, or you can reach us on WhatsApp.

How much does it cost?

The circle is free to join for graduates. Donations are warmly welcomed and support our sliding scale model, helping keep Soma Haus accessible to everyone.

I'm not a graduate yet. Can I join?

The Community Sound Circle is for graduates of our training. If you're interested in becoming a sound therapy practitioner, explore our 30-Hour Sound Therapy Practitioner Training.
