New Beginnings in Tanjong Pagar
In March of last year, we made one of the most significant strategic decisions in our journey as a company. We chose to separate our clinical arm and step away from the technology-driven services; ice baths, saunas, hyperbaric oxygen therapy and similar treatments; that many people had come to associate with Soma Haus.
As early pioneers in this space, and among the first to bring these modalities together under one roof, the decision was not taken lightly. For nearly three years, these offerings helped define our presence in the wellness landscape and introduced many people to Soma Haus for the first time.
However, as the wellness industry continued to evolve, so did my perspective as a founder. More importantly, the work our team was doing every day; supporting individuals navigating chronic stress, pain, and complex health journeys — made it clear that our greatest impact would come from going deeper.
Stepping away from these services was not about leaving something behind; it was about creating the space to focus more intentionally on the work we believe matters most.
The Art of Well Being
Modern life often pulls us out of balance. With a world so busy, loud and bright, our senses are being overworked and bombarded by constant stimuli. Our nervous systems are perpetually on high alert. We find ourselves tired but wired. A bone-deep fatigue brought on by the relentless fast-forward pace of life. Ultra-processed foods continue to damage our gut and immune health. And the most devastating of them all? The disconnection from our bodies, our emotions, and our communities. All of this quietly erodes our deeper sense of well-being. And somehow, we’ve accepted this and trained to treat it like a problem to be solved with longevity hacks and quick fixes.
But perhaps the true art lies elsewhere — in growing slowly, and in being well from the inside. Taking time for ourselves is not indulgent; it simply makes us more human. When the body is rested, nourished, and regulated, it is capable of extraordinary things. This is the philosophy of Soma Haus: feeling good, doing good. Wellness can take many forms, but it always begins with a recognition that you deserve to feel alive, to be well, and to be fully present in your own life.
This is what drives the next chapter. With the lessons and growth of the past year, we are proud to open our second space in Tanjong Pagar. In many ways, its a continuation and extension of our growing clinical work in the field of somatics and mental health.
