Perhaps you’ve tried many remedies, yet still feel like there is a missing piece. Perhaps you’ve been told to reconnect with your body, but you’re unsure where or how to begin.
How did we reach a point where we only notice the body when symptoms arise, or when we fall ill? Why do we see the body as something to optimize, so that we can do more and achieve more?
What if the body is not a machine, but an intelligent vessel that’s in constant dialogue with you - through hunger cues, the need for rest, sensations, emotions and the quiet intuitive pulses you may feel?
While the act of pausing to listen may not always feel easy, it is possible. And when we begin to cultivate the capacity to listen to the body - health, vitality, aliveness, and self-understanding unfolds naturally.
Program Pillars
Details of your Modules
Module 1: Your Nervous System
This opening module offers a foundational reframe of health through a nervous system lens. We explore what a healthy, adaptive nervous system looks and feels like, and how chronic stress or overwhelm can lead this system to tip over. We’d also discuss the importance of capacity-building and creating new neural pathways - shifting away from an over-focus on regulation toward cultivating the internal resources that support resilience, stability, and healing over time.
Module 2: Your Relationship with Rest
The practice of rest is harder than it sounds. Beyond individual habits, many of us carry internalised beliefs and societal conditioning that make rest feel unproductive, or even unsafe. Even when symptoms arise as signals asking for pause and care, the body is often treated like a machine - to manage, fix or optimise. In this module, through guided self-inquiry and embodied practices, you’ll explore your relationship with rest and begin choosing narratives that support restoration rather than depletion.
Module 3: The Self (Mind)
IIn this module, we explore the realm of the mind and its profound influence on overall health. A guest psychotherapist will share her insights on healing and well-being from a top-down perspective. We explore how mind-based therapies support with stress, trauma and chronic health conditions. Together, we’ll reflect on the dynamic relationship between the mind and body, and how the mind can both shape, and be shaped by one’s healing journey.
Module 4: The Self (Body)
Mandatory In-Person Session
This opening module offers a foundational reframe of health through a nervous system lens. We explore what a healthy, adaptive nervous system looks and feels like, and how chronic stress or overwhelm can lead this system to tip over. We’d also discuss the importance of capacity-building and creating new neural pathways - shifting away from an over-focus on regulation toward cultivating the internal resources that support resilience, stability, and healing over time.
Module 5: River of Emotions
Emotions are messengers - they show us where authenticity, care and boundaries are needed. In this module, we explore the range of emotions that shape the human experience. Through somatic and dance movement principles, you’ll learn how emotions can be allowed to “river,” rather than be suppressed or bypassed. You’ll discover movement as a supportive resource for emotional awareness, helping to metabolise stored charge in the body, gently encouraging clarity and aligned action.
Module 6: Your Inner Sanctuary
As a closing module, we turn toward the metaphor of the Self as an inner sanctuary - a living space that requires tending, nourishment, and supportive environments to not only be well, but to flourish. We explore resourcing beyond a concept, but as an embodied ritual. This module offers integrative reflections and tools designed to support you long after the program concludes.
This Immersion is supportive if you are...
Desiring to enhance your overall well-being
You would like to better manage stress, build resilience, and support your nervous system in a way that is sustainable
You would like to deepen your connection with your body - to understand its sensations, emotional signals, and needs
You’re open to considering an alternative perspective to health - one with fewer “to-dos”, less fixing, and instead, with more ease, trust and rhythm
Deep in your health & healing journey
Your system often moves between hyperarousal (stress, anxiety, shallow breathing, inflammation) and hypoarousal (fatigue, low mood, numbness, lowered immunity), and you’re longing for stability, regulation and enhanced capacity
You’ve tried multiple interventions but with limited relief, and have this gut feeling that your symptoms may be reflecting underlying nervous system or stress-related patterns
You’re curious about somatic, body-based approaches that support healing beyond cognitive frameworks
You’re open to being held in community - where shared experiences, gentle accountability and collective momentum becomes supportive
About your Facilitator
Layla has always been fascinated by the human condition. As a child, she was drawn to understanding the body, mind and spirit - particularly the idea of harmony and the quiet search for the “self”.
After graduating from university, life took an unexpected turn. She found herself grappling with physical and psycho-emotional symptoms, later understood through the lens of chronic stress and complex trauma. What followed was a non-linear healing journey, unfolding through seasons of exploration, experimentation and learning. With time, she came to understand that healing from the inside out cannot be rushed. It asks for a multi-disciplinary approach that respects the body’s intelligence, heart-centred practitioners, and the wisdom of those walking the path home to themselves.
Layla is certified in Somatic Movement, Yoga Nidra, Yin / Restorative Yoga, Sound Therapy and Nervous System Science. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Psychology and a Diploma in Psychology Studies, and continues deepening her understanding through both formal and lived inquiry.
Beyond certifications, her work is shaped by embodiment - the integration of what we learn into the moments that truly challenge us. Layla endeavours to share all that has supported her and the lives she had the grace of working with. As your facilitator, she hopes to share practical insights held with deep humanness for the messy and deeply personal path of coming home to the self.

Yes! One of the main inspirations of this group program is to support you to listen and deepen your connection with your body, through various pathways.
The connection we share with our body shares a close relationship with health, but also influences our overall sense of self that trickles to other domains of life. Something we speak to during the container is also “what health truly means?” - perhaps not solely the absence of symptoms.

Yes, this group program is created to offer an alternative lens to trauma and health conditions - one that’s holistic, fosters inner awareness and speaks to the wisdom of our symptoms. We’ll speak to science-backed frameworks, embody pathways of regulation and reconnection with your body, which many find supportive. If you’ve explored different treatments in medical settings and have reached a plateau, or that it feels like there’s a missing piece, this group container may be of support.
This group program is guided by trauma-informed principles and priorities, meeting you where you’re at in your journey. However, should you have significant trauma history or are navigating complex mental health concerns, it is highly encouraged for you to have therapeutic support in place.
This program is not a replacement for therapy. Should you be unsure or have further questions on this, please schedule a discovery call with Layla.

You can think of this group program as a medium through which you are invited to reconsider the narratives of your body and self. Alongside learning frameworks on the nervous system, you will explore practical tools from modalities that support self-awareness and body connection, while your individual experiences are held within the wider context of the group. As this group container is also accompanied by guest speakers, working on the ground in a multi-disciplinary clinic, you’ll hear honest professional perspectives as well.
Every other program has its own framework and/or modality that it’s derived from. This group program endeavours to offer you a holistic approach towards health and well-being, and of which the your sense of self is not separate from.

The journey of health is lifelong, and the 8-week-long duration of the group program is not created to be seen as a final destination.
It is created to offer a pitstop and, hopefully, a powerful reframe of the relationship you share with your body (self) and health. After the group container you may find yourself in two places:
(a) gained new insights and tools for integration in your daily life
(b) require further support or continuity, which can happen when we enter group programs as such. You are welcome to seek support through Layla’s offerings or engage support via Soma Haus’ clinical or wellness arm.
